Monoposto haven’t had an overseas meeting since Zandvoort and that was in 2019BC (Before Covid)
However in 2024 they have decided to travel overseas again, this time going to Ireland and to Mondello Park. Irish drivers have contributed greatly to Monoposto in recent years, so going to their home turf seemed a good thing to do.
Obtaining media accreditation proved to be impossible (thanks Motorsport Ireland) so was shooting in the spectator areas through chainlink fencing.
The circuit is unlike any in the UK. In terms of atmosphere, its very much like Mallory Park. The track itself is hugely technical and they have possibly fallen into the kart circuit trap of cramming too many corners into the space allowed.
Anyway, all that went, enjoyed themselves, myself included.
