Toyota Sprint Series 2011- Round 5 – Croft Circuit

This was really the first time that TSS has visited a proper circuit – the visits to Rockingham utilise the outer oval with a coned course, and Teesside is a grown up kart circuit with a hilly bit. Croft has a well-publicised noise problem, caused by a messy divorce, and all entrants were reminded to […]

Toyota Sprint Series 2011: RAF Cottesmore

A new venue for TSS at RAF Cottesmore near Grantham.    This course was a wide, very fast course which required precise lines to get the most from the course.    Jonny Milner levelled the series at two all with his friend and rival Adrian Smith, with two rounds left to go. The picture above […]

Toyota Sprint Series 2011: Barkston Heath

Barkston Heath is an RAF airfield, currently operating as a training facility in conjunction with Cranwell, and during the post-war and Cold War era was a home to the Bloodhound surface to air missile systems.    A small, compact, twisty course which can be run in both directions remains a popular event each year, and […]

Rockingham Motor Speedway, near Corby, was the venue for the opening round of the 2011 Toyota Sprint Series.    Adrian Smith, defending champion, just pipped arch-rival Jonny Milner (2009 champion) to the win. (more…)

Blyton Park

Another new venue for TSS – Blyton Park, better known as a Rallycross Venue.   This event clashed with another event, so Moore Photos stood in for me. You can view their gallery here:-

A new course layout at Woodbridge is used for the 2010 event.   Once again joined by the Alfa Romeo Sprint Cup

Barkston Heath

Back to Barkston Heath.    Running in the opposite direction to last time.

A new venue for Toyota Sprint Series – at the former RAF base in Norfolk, near Fakenham.

Barkston Heath

Back to an old-favourite.  MOD Barkston Heath near Grantham.

Rockingham is again the venue which starts the 2010 season.    Once again, a course is constructed using the outer oval.   An entry of Alfa Romeos for the Alfa Romeo Sprint Cup joins for their debut event.

Teesside Autodrome

The 2009 season finale happens at Teesside Autodrome, for another night sprint.

Back to Woodbridge, but a different course means its almost an entirely new venue.
