MSVR put on some races for Monoposto cars at Brands Hatch, for the finale of the BRDC F4 Autumn Trophy (won by Ben Barnicoat), calling the races the MSVR Monoposto Indy.
The format was one qualifying, and three races – 2 races on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. The weather on Saturday was pretty horrible, dull, wet and grey, although Sunday cheered up and was pretty pleasant.
Cian Carey qualified on pole for race one and converted that to a convincing win, after Robbie Watts survived a spin on the pit straight and had a couple of off-track excursions. Robbie would take the flag in race 2, and Cian would retire and they would leave that evening, meaning Robbie had race 3 unchallenged.
It looks like this event may have been the last for my trusty Canon EOS 7D. It succumbed to water ingress and now has a battery issue, which will probably cost more to fix than the camera is currently worth, so I’m going to think about what should replace it…
