Monoposto return to Donington Park for the final two races of their championship season – the finale of the 6 race Tiedeman Trophy, but this time they are racing on the shorter National Circuit, rather than the Grand Prix circuit with the extended Melbourne loop.

The weather wasn’t kind – wet qualifying and first race, although the circuit was drying for race 2 – although still slippery off line.

Ewen Sergison, risking the wrath of his doctor by racing with a broken left leg, has rigged a hand clutch in his Swift in his bid to maintain the lead of the championship, and whilst clearly off his normal pace, he kept out of trouble and did enough to secure the championship.

Jeremy Timms did all he could and despite winning both races, a DNF earlier in the season meant he finished in 2nd place, and a DNF for Geoff Fern meant his title bid was over and he had to settle for 3rd.
