2013 National Lottery Anniversary Run Photos

The 2013 National Lottery Anniversary Run was a 5 mile run starting and finishing at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, London and was one of the first events held in the stadium since the closing ceremony of the 2012 Paralympic Games.

The winner was Alex Cornwell, who completed the course in 25m 40s.  11841 people finished the course, including 2008 and 2012 Olympic Gold medal winner Victoria Pendleton (pictured), former Spice Girl and now solo singer Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice) and Marathon runner Paula Radcliffe.

I have shot a number of runs, ranging from 5k to the London Marathon and the atmosphere in the well populated stadium was incredible, with many runners finding more energy from somewhere for a sprint finish where their heroes did the same last summer.
