The dictatorial father Edward Strachan, a public analyst, knows what’s best for his family and maps out their future; but his children have other ideas which leads to conflict and threatens family life. When sex and murder raise their heads implicating Mr Strachan’s family, we reach crisis point. Can he change his ways and rebuild his family or is it all too late?

This play was also made into a film, in 1945 by Ealing Studios, although the character names were changed from the original play.
