This was my second commissioned piece for Autosport magazine this year, and I was also covering the Production GTI series for a fellow photographer.    Regular Snetterton snapper for Autosport was having a weekend off at the Goodwood Revival, but I was on hand to cover the action.

The start of the VW Fun Cup endurance race was chaotic, when one car broke a driveshaft at the start.   Cars took avoiding action, some went left, others went right and I don’t think the stalled car was hit – however, there was incidents ahead when cars came together.

The race continued under yellow flags and safety car conditions whilst the cars were recovered.  Most of the damaged cars were successfully repaired and were out racing quickly – although these were now fighting for pride rather than podium positions.

Other series racing included the Saker Challenge, the Crossle Challenge, Production GTI series, and the Euro Saloons and Sportscars as well as two races for Porsche Boxsters and 924s.

Autosport required the photos by 9am on Monday, so the evening of the Sunday was spent editing photographs and emailing them through.    I was rewarded with a spread of 7 photographs in Autosport and one in the Eastern Daily Press.
